Learn how to set up, configure, and use every unlock method on your AROSCAI Wi-Fi Digital Door Lock — fingerprint, PIN, IC card, app remote, temporary OTPs, and more.

This tutorial is a guide to operating your AROSCAI smart devices and initiating app control through the AROSCAI SMART app.

Admin Setup

Set the admin password directly on the lock before pairing

Set Admin Password on Device

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press * then # then your Temporary Password (factory default) then #.

Press 1 to enter Admin Settings.

Press 1 again to select "Change Admin Password".

Enter your new admin password (6–8 digits).

Confirm the password — the lock will beep to confirm success.

App Pairing

Connect the door lock to the AROSCAI Smart app

Pair with AROSCAI Smart App

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press *# followed by your Admin Password and then #.

Press 1 for Admin Settings.

Press 3, then 2 to enter Network Pairing mode. The lock will beep.

Open the AROSCAI Smart app on your smartphone.

Tap "Add Device" → "Door Lock".

Enter your Wi-Fi network credentials (2.4 GHz only).

The app will detect the lock. Tap it to select.

Choose the Room to assign the lock to.

Tap "Confirm" to complete pairing.

Unlock Methods

Remote, temporary, dynamic, and passive unlock options

Tap to Unlock (App)

On your Smart Door Lock keypad, press 9# to enable App Unlock mode.

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap on "Door Lock".

Tap "Tap to Unlock" — the lock will release immediately.

Temporary Password (App)

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → "Temporary Password Unlock".

Tap "Add".

Select the valid date range and tap "Next".

Enter the recipient's name.

Set the password they will use.

Tap "Continue" to save. The temporary password will only work within the set date range.

Temporary passwords are ideal for housekeeping, guests, or service visits. They expire automatically after the set period.

Dynamic Password (OTP)

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → "Remote Dynamic Password".

Tap "Tap to Unlock".

A new one-time password valid for 5 minutes is generated and displayed.

On the door lock keypad, enter this password followed by # to unlock.

The dynamic password expires after 5 minutes and cannot be reused — it changes every time you generate one.

Passive Mode

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, enter your password followed by #.

Then press 5# to enable Passive Mode.

In Passive Mode the lock operates without the motor engaging fully — useful for hands-free scenarios.

To disable Passive Mode, simply enter your password followed by #.

Biometrics & Access Cards

Register fingerprints and IC cards on the device and in the app

Add Fingerprint — On Device

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press *# followed by your Admin Password and then #.

Press 1 for Admin Settings or 2 for User Settings.

Press 1 to select "Add Admin / User".

Place your finger on the fingerprint sensor.

Scan your fingerprint 4 times until confirmed.

Add Fingerprint — In App (Biometric)

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → "Biometric".

Tap "Add Fingerprint".

Enter the 3-digit fingerprint code assigned during device registration.

Enter a name for this fingerprint (e.g., "Dad", "Main Door").

Tap "Add Fingerprint" to save.

The 3-digit code must match the sequence number assigned when you registered the fingerprint on the device.

Add Access Card — On Device

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press *# followed by your Admin Password and then #.

Press 1 for Admin Settings or 2 for User Settings.

Press 1 to select "Add Admin / User".

Tap the IC card on the card reader area of the lock.

Confirm to register the card.

Add Access Card — In App

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → "Access Card".

Tap "Add Access Card".

Enter the 3-digit code assigned during device registration.

Enter a name for this card.

Tap "Add Access Card" to save.

Password Management

Add or remove user passwords directly on the lock

Add User Password — On Device

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press *# followed by your Admin Password and then #.

Press 2 for Password Management.

Press 1 to "Add Password".

Enter the new numeric password (6–8 digits).

Confirm the password.

Remove User Password — On Device

On the Smart Door Lock keypad, press *# followed by your Admin Password and then #.

Press 2 for Password Management.

Press 2 to "Remove Password".

Enter the pair number of the user password you want to remove.

Pair numbers are assigned sequentially when passwords are added. Keep a record of which pair number belongs to which user.

Sharing & Activity Logs

Grant access to others and review all entry events

Share Access

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → "Share Access".

Enter the registered email address of the person you want to share with.

Tap "Share" to grant them app-based access.

The recipient must have a registered AROSCAI Smart account to receive shared access.

View Activity Log

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock".

Tap the Options (⋮) menu.

Select "Device Log" to view a timestamped history of all access events — who entered, when, and by what method.

Device Settings

Rename, share, unbind, and view device information

Rename Device

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → Options (⋮) → "Setting".

Tap "Rename Device".

Enter the new name and tap "Save".

Share Device (Settings)

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → Options (⋮) → "Setting".

Tap "Share Device".

Add the recipient's email and tap "Share".

Remove / Unbind Device

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → Options (⋮) → "Setting".

Tap "Remove / Unbind Device" and confirm.

Unbinding removes the lock from your account. You will need to re-pair it to use it again with any account.

View Device ID

Open the AROSCAI Smart app.

Tap "Door Lock" → Options (⋮) → "Setting".

Scroll to the bottom — the Device ID is listed as the last item.
